Coworking

What is Coworking?

There is not just one definition of Coworking
The idea is simple: independent professionals and those with workplace flexibility work better together than they do alone. Coworking spaces are about community-building and sustainability. Participants agree to uphold the values set forth by the movement’s founders, as well as interact and share with one another. We are about creating better places to work and as a result, a better way to work. via http://wiki.coworking.com

Does Coworking have a hyphen? NO!!! http://doescoworkinghaveahyphen.com/

Why not? Most coworking spaces prefer to spell their own name without a hyphen, because they believe their concept is fundamentally different from the relationship between two employees in an old-fashioned company.

How do you react if you see your own name spelled incorrectly? You can live with it for a while, and ask for a correction occasionally. But you might get angry if it occurs constantly, and if your correction requests go unheard. The same goes for part of the coworking community, which is quite annoyed about the hyphenation of the name. Here’s a little story about the controversy, and the arguments for and against co-working. via http://www.deskmag.com/en/coworking-or-co-working-with-hyphen-252
